About Jaclyn Shaw
Since the fall of 2004, I worked as a family practice physician assistant (PA) at Hometown Health Center. I have had the most amazing experience there but I am ready to try Dr. Pramenko's unique practice model. I look forward to spending as much time as I need with each patient. I am also excited to improve both patient-provider communication and the provision of quality care.
I have always been passionate about preventive care delivered with respect and sensitivity in the context of a caring relationship. I enjoy empowering patients to take control of their health and disease management. I am looking forward to meeting and caring for you and your family.
I welcome Spanish speaking patients and I'm certified in basic life support as well as advanced cardiac life support. I am nationally certified as a PA and I am registered to practice medicine in New York.
On a personal note, I was born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts. I first made my way out to the Capital Region to attend Skidmore College in 1995. After graduation I worked in Boston for a couple of years at Brigham and Womens Hospital before deciding to become a PA. I chose the Pacific University PA program in Oregon for its emphasis on primary care and service to the underserved. Upon program completion in 2004 I followed my wife Meg back to the Capital Region for her graduate studies in sociology. Now it is our home! I enjoy reading nonfiction, jogging, and many other outdoor activities.
